My husband, Tony, is a fabulous father, husband and provider. When he is not hard at work he enjoys playing the trumpet in a local symphony, and leading our kids into all kinds of crazy, fun activities!
Our oldest child, known on the blog as The Boyscout, is 12-years-old and is going into 7th grade at a classical charter school. He loves Boy Scouts, church youth group, playing the trumpet, basketball, drawing, Rick Riordan books, and hanging out with his friends. He is our budding thespian and debater. He is also our history buff and we often supplement his school learning with summer and after-school units on the history topic of his choice as well as artist and composer studies. He is a fantastic big brother, has an off-beat sense of humor, and loves to go around singing all day long.
Our middle child, and only girl, Miss M keeps us on our toes. She is almost five and has been doing homeschool with us for three years now. She just finished a K4 curriculum in May, and we are moving along at her pace, which is usually three times faster than I want to go! Our intention is to homeschool her for the foreseeable future. She is all-girl and loves dresses, ballet and tap, soccer, playing princess, fairies, coloring, and being outdoors. She worships her older brother, mothers her younger brother, and is a sweet, funny, high-energy little charmer.
The baby of our family, currently called The Bug on the blog, is our sweet love. He turned 2 at the end of May and is doing Tot School at home this year. He has the most relaxed personality of all of us, but is always on the go. He is intensely curious and can often be found in some sort of mischief as he explores the world around us and struggles to keep up with his older siblings. He loves trains, trucks, airplanes, animals and being outdoors. We are excited to see what interests he develops as he learns and grows.
Our blog chronicles the everyday adventures of our ordinary life as we live, love, laugh and learn together. We are not afraid to make a mess and are always looking for a fun, new activity to try!
