About Us

Hello and welcome to our blog!  My name is Amy and I am a Catholic, stay-at-home mother of three and blessed to be married to my best friend.  We have recently moved home to Seattle after living in Texas for the last eight years.  When we first moved to Texas, our friends considered our organic-vegetarian-food eating, recycling, nature-loving, breastfeeding, baby-wearing, co-sleeping, homeschooling lifestyle to be very "crunchy", thus the name of our blog.  In my spare time I love to read, craft and garden.

My husband, Tony, is a fabulous father, husband and provider.  When he is not hard at work he enjoys playing the trumpet, and leading our kids into all kinds of crazy, fun activities!

Our oldest child, known on the blog as The Boyscout, is 15-years-old and an 10th grader. He loves Boy Scouts, running cross country, drawing, all things Dr. Who and hanging out with his friends.  He is our budding thespian, debater and history buff.  He is a fantastic big brother and has an off-beat sense of humor.

Our middle child, and only girl, Miss M keeps us on our toes.  She is eight and in third grade this year.  We are moving along at her pace, which is usually three times faster than I want to go! She loves science and writing her own stories. She is all-girl and loves lacrosse, dance, playing piano, American Girl dolls, princesses and fairies, anything crafty, and being outdoors.  She worships her older brother, mothers her younger brother, and is a sweet, funny, high-energy little charmer.

The baby of our family, currently called The Bug on the blog, is our sweet love.  He is 5 and is in Kindergarten this year.  He has the most relaxed personality of all of us, but is always on the go.  He is intensely curious and can often be found in some sort of mischief as he explores the world around him and struggles to keep up with his older siblings.  He loves trains, trucks, cars, airplanes, animals, and being outdoors.  He is currently obsessed with Legos, Ninja Turtles and superheroes. We are excited to see what other interests he develops as he learns and grows.

Our blog chronicles the everyday adventures of our ordinary life as we live, love, laugh and learn together.  We are not afraid to make a mess and are always looking for a fun, new activity to try!
