When we were visiting my parents, we held our own at-home Iron Chef Night.
The teams were Papa and The Boyscout versus Grandma and Miss M.
The theme: pizza. Each team was given a batch of gluten-free pizza dough and had one hour to make their selections. The lucky judges were my dear husband and I. We judged them on taste, presentation and originality.
The boys team presented us with a vegetarian cheeseburger pizza (not pictured) and a pesto pizza in the shape of the State of Washington. The girls gave us a cheese and zucchini pizza with the vegetables laid out like a flower, and a meditteranean pizza with feta cheese and kalamata olives.
All the pizza selections were fantastic and everyone had so much fun. At the end, we voted it a tie. The kids are already asking when our next Iron Chef night will occur!
